Trump's National Golf Club
Westchester, NY
Keeping the little ship afloat
When Trump reached out to NY architect Andrew Tesoro to design his National Golf Club clubhouse, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and as a small business, it was exciting to have Trump's handwritten notes saying he "loved" the work. When it was all said and done, Donald Trump made it perfectly clear; however, "I really don't think I should pay anymore because I already spent too much on this building." Trump paid a little more than a third of what he was contracted to pay the architect for the work done. Now that's how you come in under budget!

Trump refused to pay contest winner $1M prize
Once again, The Donald was sued. In 2010 Trump held a hole-in-one contest with a million dollar prize. After someone made the hole-in-one, Donald choked and didn't want to pay up. The GOP nominee finally settled the suit for just $150,000, but Trump paid the money out of his charitable foundation, which is illegal.
